When i have received this new HP Desktop computer, i was able to connect HP Smart to the HP Laserjet printers of this office and was able to use the scan feature of the said app. Use the  HP App for computers and mobile devices to print, copy, scan, troubleshoot printer issues, and set up a printer on a wireless network. When I had 'HP Smart Printer' listed in Windows printers, I could select HP Smart Printer from within MS Word (etc) and when I clicked print it would open the HP Smart Printing app and my printing worked.
I don't know whether having set it to On (it was anyway) that I expect HP Smart to suddenly do something. I do that in Installed Apps, HP Smart, Location but then nothing happens. Got a brand new HP Smart Tank 7605 and am trying to set it up. I have location services turned off by default from my company's IT department and I am not allowed to print over wifi. By adjusting these settings, you should be able to improve the performance of your HP Smart app while printing locally. Whenever I use HP Smart and try to print from a Win11 Laptop using VPN on my small local network, I get a very slow delay while printing to an HP MFP-4301fnw printer .
