Every day is different, so there isn’t a typical day for me. I’m constantly taking calls from interpreters and clients, helping them communicate and connect. Things are always evolving, making it a fast-paced environment. I like to call it “hit the ground running”.

I review each request and ensure that the date, time, and location are clear. Having worked at LP for so long, I know most of our clients and understand the best match of interpreters. I prioritize urgent requests and have the ability to stay organized. I am a planner and good at organizing tasks.

I find my work enjoyable because I get to work with the immigrant community. My mother is an immigrant to the US from Brazil, so I’ve seen firsthand the challenges she faced. Working with new immigrants and bridging the language gap are rewarding experiences for me. I’m proud of the support we’re able to provide to the community.

Self-care is essential, and I make sure to carve out time for myself. Some of my favorite ways to unwind are by reading a good book at night and/or treating myself to a glass of wine during dinner.
